Boston Pizza Changed

Porn-free pizza just tastes better

Your emails and your posts on social media REALLY WORK! Good on you! We thank you for each “send” and keystroke, because we have news…

Choose Change Canada is happy to announce that Boston Pizza has agreed to ensure there is internet filtering in all of their restaurants by May 25.

What does this mean? Families can enjoy a great meal at Boston Pizza AND ensure eyes don’t catch a view of porn while they are diving into their dinner. Seems a reasonable social change, doesn’t it?

Vicki Waschkowski, Senior Director, Digital Marketing at Boston Pizza sent a note:
“I really commend what you are doing with this challenge, and glad it came to our attention. As mentioned, we have already implemented this level of protection in many of our locations, and are in the process of ensuring that there is a filter in place within all of our Boston Pizza restaurants across the country.”

Please, take a moment to visit https://choosechangecanada.org/boston-pizza and give Boston Pizza some online ‘props for their efforts and check the back of your next receipt from BPs for an email address where you can send them a ‘thank you’ for working with Choose Change.

BP did this because you spread the word about the harms of sexually violent images! And, there are still four other companies/organizations we’d love to see do this in 2018: Toronto Public Library, TekSavvy, Vancouver International Airport and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Visit ChooseChangeCanada.org to find the tools you need.

Gotta go, got a pizza to order…
