We are calling on Reddit to address the enormous amount of Image Based Sexual Abuse* on their platform. Reddit does have a policy which would prohibit this type of content, but they have failed to moderate the content effectively and have failed to enforce the policy meaningfully. As well, they are not responsive enough to survivors who are asking to have non-consensual materials removed.
*Image Based Sexual Abuse, or IBSA, is the creation, theft, extortion, threatened or actual distribution, or any use of sexualized or sexually explicit materials without the meaningful consent of the person depicted.
